Description
All tracks are based on the same source material: a field recording made in a forest at dusk on a summer’s evening. Both Schmidt & Mursyid then both processed the raw material independently, shared tracks, took cues from each other’s work, and finally put together a full length album. As that single recording is manipulated and re-imagined, the listener is taken on a journey through one sonic environment’s many layers and possibilities. Andy, Chief Bossman at Focused Silence, says: ” …the resulting album as a metaphor for forgetting an event. Even after years of not knowing what happened at a location, you piece it back together and a new version is synthesised.”
